Westwood Karting Round 5: Chilliwack, British Columbia

August 25-26 was Round 5 of the Westwood Karting Series. David Jurca qualified second just behind his teammate and finished second in the prefinal. In the final, Jurca had a three way battle with teammate Vorrath and Kevin Glover. Just before the end, Vorrath seized the motor, causing the rear tires to lock up. Jurca was able to avoid Vorrath but lost some ground to Glover. Glover was able to come out with the win, and Jurca finished second.

This was the first time since 2000 that Italian Motors did not win ICA in the Westwood Karting Series. On a positive note, Jurca recaptured the championship points lead in ICA.
