Jurca Set for Moran Double Dip

Super Kart Illustrated editor Tim Blaney has confirmed that David Jurca will be pulling double duty in both ICC and ICA at next weekend’s Snap-on Stars of Karting Western Division event at Moran Raceway. Jurca, a SKI Driver of the Year nominee in 2003, had planned to run the full season with Italian Motors in ICC but was drafted to run ICA for the team when scheduling conflicts arose.

According to team manager Michael Valiante, this has been in the works for some time as the squad knew that former lead ICA shoe Jordy Vorrath would have been unavailable for this race due to his Skip Barber program. Vorrath left the team earlier this month creating a permanent vacancy for the remainder of the season.

It’s been two years since Jurca last raced an ICA kart so he is approaching the weekend with guarded expectations. According to the 2002 SuperNationals ProIC winner, he is “cautiously optimistic” that he will have a good result in the direct drive class.
