David Jurca graduates high school with honors



In June of 2003, David Jurca graduated from Federal Way High School. Not only did he graduate near the top of his 455 student class, but he also won many awards for his academic excellence. The list includes the Washington State Honors Award, the Washington State Principals' Scholars Program Award for Academic Excellence, and the President's Education Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence.

David always held education near the top of his priorities, second only to his devotion to racing. Peter, David's father, also made it a priority only allowing David to race as long as his grades were high. At this time, David plans on fully committing himself to his racing career for at least a year, but plans on going to college in the future. "At the moment, I want to focus on one thing. High school was hard enough missing an average of one to two days a week. I would not be able to do this in college," David explains.
